A vet who I really admire

The person who I admired is not a famous or someone who many people know,  he is just a Chilean vet, who I know and who as a vet I admired.
Bernardo Casanova is a vet who I really admire, I knew him 4 years ago I think. He is the father of one of my best friends, he studied here, at university of Chile.  He is a very good vet, all his life he have been studied something new about animals, last year he got a degree of cardiology in little animals.
About 20 years ago he got his own clinic, is not a big one, but is really good, he put all his vocation and dedication in it and in animals.
When he knew that I went to the university of chile to study veterinary medicine, he was so happy, he also invited me to see surgerys, or just to learn more about the profession.   

My choice, Veterinary Medicine!

Hi everybody, this time I am going to tell you why I chose this career, Veterinary Medicine, and why I am happy with this choice.

I really never asked to myself what I want to be in the future, I remember that even when I was a very little girl I always said to my mom that I want to be a veterinarian, and that idea never changed, so that now I am here, doing what I always want to do, but I think that is because me, my personality, and all of that, I like help people, but I really  love help animals, and I believe that being a veterinarian and helping animals I help people at the same time.

About the career at this moment I dont have a big opinion, I'm here just a month ago or maybe a bit more, but I can't have a correct idea with that, or at least, I think that.

But I can tell you that I really knew fantastic people, mayority with a lot of common things with me, for example, last year I just knew two or three people that didn't eat meat, now I know at least twenty that are vegetarian like me, that was so amazing for me.

About the uni, I loved it, is like live in the country or in a farm, with a lot of animals, and with vegetaion, it is so comfortable to me study here.

And finally, what I think about becoming a veterinarian?, I loved it, it really is the big project in my life!

A little about me :)

Hi, my name is Isabel Matinez, I'm 18 years old, I live in Peñalolen, Santiago. I am studying Veterinary Medicine in University of Chile. All my life I wanted to study this, because I really love animals, therefore I'm vegetarian since 2007.

I have always had a lot of pets, but now I only live with my two lovely dogs, a beagle and a german shepherd, they are usually the best friends, but sometimes they fight, and obviously the beagle is the loser, they are so different, the german shepherd is always with a ball, and he loves to throw it to the pool and the beagle is a very spoiled dog, he could be all day lying with someone who give him a lot of love, I also have two hedgehogs and my tortoise, they also are so funny, my tortoise sleep in the beagle's house with him, one hedgehog have a really bad tempered and the other one is so playful.
